Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to provide daily on-site supervision and coordination of roofing projects. The company delivers high-quality commercial roofing solutions, ranging from large-scale new construction to re-roofing, renovations, and ongoing maintenance. The Role

The Superintendent will oversee all on-site operations, ensuring that manpower, materials, and equipment are managed effectively to meet project schedules. Working closely with Project Managers, this role is responsible for enforcing safety, maintaining quality control, and ensuring projects meet manufacturer and warranty requirements. Success in this position means projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with strong client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily on-site supervision of roofing crews and subcontractors.

  • Enforce and promote safety policies in line with company and OSHA standards.

  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project milestones.

  • Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with warranty and quality requirements.

  • Monitor workmanship and resolve on-site issues in a proactive manner.

  • Maintain accurate jobsite documentation including daily reports, photos, and safety logs.

  • Assist in pre-job meetings, progress updates, and project closeout.

  • Track and manage jobsite inventory of materials and tools.

  • Support final inspections and collaborate with inspectors and customers.

  • Build positive relationships with stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and inspectors.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial roofing, including at least 2 years in a supervisory, foreman, or superintendent role.

  • In-depth knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, BUR, Metal, etc.).

  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documentation.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills with a focus on safety.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Physically able to climb ladders, lift materials, and work at heights as required.

  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

  • Commitment to delivering quality workmanship and maintaining a safe work environment.

Salary

Full-time position, site-based with travel to project locations as required. Baltimore, MD, U.S.
