Duties & Responsibilities

TECHNICAL COMPETENCE:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure increased customer awareness and maintain/increase market share
  • Ensure optimal growth by providing excellent customer service
  • Meet and Improve Annual Budgets – inherent requirement • Client queries are responded to timeously • Deliveries are followed up on where necessary
  • Quotations are provided to customers
  • Customers are visited on a regular basis
  • Assist with tender pricing when in the office
  • Analyse customer needs by reporting on calls made to customers and submit to the Sales Manager on a weekly basis
  • Check on material availability when quoting
  • Assist to maintain Customer Pricelists and Customer Database
  • Assist with monthly material forecast • Assist customers with cutting lists / drawing office requests
  • Assist with the resolution of customer complaints
  • Assist customer with technical information, brochure and installation procedures
  • General Admin and own filing
  • Assist with additional tasks as requested by management from time to time
  • Uphold the Company’s code of ethics
  • Ensure excellent customer service to all clients

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Achieve Sales Revenue in the current Financial Year
  • Ensure gross profit is achieved
  • Number of new customers with minimum of 2 orders placed within the period
  • Revenue from New Accounts
  • Product Strategic Sales Drive – Piece Fix • Product Strategic Sales Drive – Concealed Fix • Product Strategic Sales Drive - Accessories
  • Product Strategic Sales Drive – Buy - Outs
  • Product Strategic Sales Drive - Decking
  • Ageing of finished goods on despatch floor against formal orders
  • On Time in Full
  • Actual % vs Agreed Target • Development of Self • Adherence to and promotion of Vital Behaviours

 

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Valid Driver’s License is essential
  • Relevant Sales/Technical Engineering Diploma/ Degree will be advantageous
  • Sound Knowledge of the South African Roofing Industry
  • Sound Knowledge of Permanent Form Work and Concrete Systems relevant to Decking
  • Minimum 5 - 10 years’ Sales Rep/ Technical Sales experience is essential
  • Awareness and attentiveness to Company Image and branding
  • Ability to do draughting will be advantageous
  • Good knowledge if reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings
  • Good understanding of the building industry will be an advantage

Package & Remuneration

R45 000 - R55 000 + Fuel Card + Maintenance claim for kilometers travelled for business.
