Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Service Manager to oversee and manage our service department operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial roofing, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing service teams. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively coordinate service activities, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the service department team, including technicians, estimators, and administrative staff
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of service technicians for repairs, maintenance, and inspections
  • Ensure timely completion of service projects and adherence to quality standards
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to service team members
  • Manage service department budgets, including labor costs, materials, and equipment
  • Analyze service data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and suppliers
  • Collaborate with sales and estimating teams to identify upsell opportunities and generate leads
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Implement and maintain service management software systems
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in commercial roofing
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs for service team members
  • Prepare and present regular reports on service department performance to upper management

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial roofing, with at least 2 years in a service management role
  • Proven track record of successfully managing service teams and improving operational efficiency
  • Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in service management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary
