National Director of Commercial Roofing

This is a remote position.

The National Director of Commercial Roofing is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all aspects of roofing projects on a national level. This includes ensuring safety, profitability, staffing, and the overall success of these projects. This position requires a proactive, hands-on, and engaged management approach. This role is also responsible for cultivating and promoting the company's core values and culture, emphasizing a customer and employee-centric approach.

Job description for the right candidate:

• Fosters and promotes collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships between Operations, Business Development, and other company business units.
  
• Sets and monitors goals for the overall team, tracking the financial performance of each project by monitoring key metrics such as costs versus estimate, schedule versus plan, resource allocation and productivity, billing and collections, cash flow, and profitability.
  
• Develops and coaches Project Managers and Superintendents on proper processes, methodologies, and techniques for construction management to improve overall employee and commercial roofing team value.
  
• Promotes and adheres to safety standards and all local and national codes.
  
• Organizes, assigns, and directs all commercial roofing projects, either directly or through assigned personnel.
  
• Drives revenue production, profitability, proper subcontracting, schedule creation & adherence, budget reporting, and projections.
  
• Drives customer satisfaction.
  
• Performs one-on-one project reviews of project finances, contract management, change orders, and other construction documents, reporting potential issues.
  
• Proactively develops solutions to address potential issues.
  
• Ensures the company's ethical and legal obligations are met.
  
• Increases customer satisfaction levels and customer retention.
  
• Ensures proper customer management throughout the construction process.
  
• Develops and maintains viable relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors, subcontractors, and trade personnel. Attends scheduled customer or job progress meetings, as needed.
  
• Oversees project construction for quality compliance with specifications, codes, and installation techniques.
  
• Travel across the U.S. approximately 60% of the time.
  
• Oversees construction safety implementation for zero incidents and reporting for their territory.
  

Requirements

• In depth knowledge of major roofing systems i.e. BUR, EPDM, TPO/PVC, Mod-Bit etc.
  
• OSHA, CPR and First Aid certifications.Demonstrated successful leadership of multiple construction projects and project managers over a large and diverse territory.
  
• Expert in construction management, financials, processes, safety, and administration. 
  
• Strong business ethics, integrity, and ability to perform in highly autonomous environments.
  
• Excellent oral and written communication and team management skills.
  
• Strong computer skills.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, or 10+ years full time roofing experience.
  
• Demonstrated successful leadership of multiple construction projects and project managers over a large and diverse territory.
